Planning for San Diego

Things to know about being on UCSD’s campus:

Water and sustainability: UCSD is committed to sustainable practices. This means eliminating as much plastic as possible from the campus. Plastic water bottles will not be available at events, including in conference rooms, and are not readily found on campus. There are, however, water filling stations. Please bring a refillable or other water bottle with you.

Food on campus: We have noted the events where food will be provided. Please note that food venues will not be open on Saturday anywhere near the areas where we will be holding SACRPH events.

Technology: all conference rooms are smart rooms, but none have computers installed. This means that if you have slides, you will need to bring a laptop with you.

Bike sharing and scooters: UCSD maintains bikes (through SPIN) and scooters in key locations across the campus. You can download and use the SPIN app to locate available bikes.

Areas around the campus:

For Hikers and Runners in our community: there are some great trails all across the UCSD campus, and some scenic once a short trip away in Torrey Pines and La Jolla.

Check out the “Walk UCSD” map below:

In La Jolla, you can access longer and more scenic outdoor trails here:
