The Courtyard Marriott
The conference will be held at the Courtyard Toronto Downtown. Located downtown, at 475 Yonge Street (just north of College Street), the hotel is close to a range of interesting entertainment areas, commercial districts, and cultural attractions. It is extremely well served by subway and streetcar service. The Marriott features comfortable rooms (for 1 to 4 persons), free wifi, a fitness center, and a swimming pool. The discounted room rates are low by Toronto standards. See below for rates and how to make a reservation. Conference registration includes free breakfast and lunch at the hotel on Friday and Saturday.
Special Group Rates
The Courtyard by Marriott Downtown Toronto offers two different special group rates: Standard (from $153 per night) and Student (from $123 per night). Reservations for the special group rate must be received on or before September 3, 2013.

Two Ways to Place Reservations
1) Call the toll-free number: 1-800-847-5075. To ensure receiving the special group rate, you must identify the group name when you make your reservation. For those reserving at the standard rate rooms, use “Society for American City and Regional Planning”; students must quote “Students – Society for American City and Regional Planning.”
2) Use the hotel’s website, beginning with the following links for Standard Rate or Student Rate rooms.
Notes Regarding Reservations
All individual reservations must be guaranteed with a credit card prior to arrival. Individuals may cancel guaranteed reservations up until 4:00 pm, 24 hours prior to the day of arrival, without incurring a cancellation charge. Any cancellation after this time will result in a “no show” charge equivalent to the cost of the first night’s stay at the agreed rate plus taxes.
A limited number of rooms are available at the special group rates. Please make your reservations early in order to receive the reduced rates of $153 (standard) and $123 (student). Remember, reservations for the special group rate must be received on or before September 3, 2013.
Please be aware that any reservations after September 3, 2013 will be made based upon available space and the prevailing rate. The hotel does not guarantee room availability or the group rate after the cut-off date.
