Andrew Goodrich, Architectural Resources Group, Senior Associate

What are you currently working on?

I’m working on several exciting projects across Southern California – a historic context statement for the County of Los Angeles, historic resource surveys for the cities of San Gabriel and West Hollywood, and historic property assessments, to name a few. I’m also consulting on a couple of complex projects involving new construction in historic settings.

What most excites you about your field right now?

How much the historic preservation field has broadened its focus. It wasn’t too long ago that our profession was largely dedicated to architectural landmarks and beautiful buildings. Increasingly, the projects that we work on address cultural heritage and other aspects of history that are perhaps less tangible, but are no less significant.

Why did you join SACRPH?

I joined SACRPH because it is a terrific opportunity to engage with like-minded peers and continue to learn more about American urban history.
