Graduate Student Paper Prize
SACRPH invites self-nominations for the Graduate Student Paper Prize ($100) for best paper to be presented by a full-time student at the biennial conference, in October 2026. For consideration, students should email the text of their planned presentation as a PDF, plus evidence of full-time student status, to the prize committee chair, Ella Howard, at howarde@wit.edu. Email submissions should have the subject “SACRPH Graduate Student Prize Submission” and must be received on or before September 15, 2026. The prize committee is Ella Howard (chair), Meredith Drake Reitan, and Evan Friss.
Graduate Student Travel Awards
Thanks to the support of donors to the Robert S. Birch, John Reps, and David Schuyler funds, SACRPH is pleased to offer full-time graduate students presenting papers at the 2026 conference up to $500 in Graduate Student Travel Awards. Awards will be announced in late June but dispersed at the conference (by check or Zelle) to those already approved. Funds may be used to defray any cost associated with traveling to the conference, including airfare and accommodation.
To request funding, please complete this form by June 1, 2026. Late applications cannot be considered.
Alison Isenberg Dissertation Colloquium
We are pleased to hold the inaugural Alison Isenberg Dissertation Colloquium at the 2026 conference. Applications for this event closed in March. At the event, twelve student participants will workshop their dissertation in semi-private sessions with six mentors and with the group in seminar, on Thursday, October 15. Following the conference’s opening plenary, the colloquium group will reconvene for a dinner. Thank you to the mentors and the colloquium committee for supporting this effort, as well as to all of those who contributed to the Alison Isenberg Fund. If you are a graduate student who was not ready to participate or was not selected for this year’s Colloquium, we encourage you to apply for next Colloquium, in 2028.
