The annual meeting of the Organization of American Historians, taking place in Philadelphia this April, will feature a special session honoring the life and work of Alison Isenberg. The session also includes several SACRPH members as panelists.
From Downtown to Designing Urban History: Remembering and Celebrating Alison Isenberg

This session remembers and celebrates the remarkable life and work of long-time SACRPH member, board member (1997-2013), and past President (2009-2011) Alison Isenberg (1962-2025), a distinguished professor of history at Princeton University; co-founder of the Princeton-Mellon Initiative in Architecture, Urbanism and the Humanities; winner of Princeton’s 2024 Graduate Mentoring Award; and author of Downtown America and Designing San Francisco.
