Announcing the David Schuyler Awards

SACRPH is delighted to announce the new David Schuyler Awards for graduate students, contingent and non-tenured faculty, and early career practitioners to defray the cost of attending our National Conference on Planning History to present research in areas related to Schuyler’s areas of expertise: landscape-focused heritage studies, the origins of the environmental movement broadly interpreted, biographies of figures who shaped urban and rural morphologies through transformative work ranging from open space preservation to redevelopment, and other related topics.

The 2026 Conference Program Committee will automatically consider all eligible abstracts but also asks individuals to flag their papers in the paper submission portal (deadline March 1).

We are grateful to those who have donated in memory of SACRPH’s late Past President David Schuyler to make these awards possible.
