15th NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON PLANNING HISTORY
Society for American City & Regional Planning History
Toronto Downtown Courtyard Marriott Hotel
Toronto, Ontario, Canada
October 3-6, 2013
Welcome to SACRPH’s 15th National Conference on Planning History, which took place in Toronto, Canada! Our conference began with a pre-conference tour, plenary session, and reception on Thursday, October 3rd, before launching into 70 panels and roundtables, a Presidential address, publishing workshops for journals and university presses, a poster session, and a book exhibit on Friday and Saturday, October 4th and 5th. We concluded with rare glimpses into Toronto housing, planning, and urban life via walking and bus tours on Sunday, October 6th. This review of the conference, which was published in the International Journal of E-Planning Research, provides further background and impressions on the proceedings.
The registration fee ($160 for students, $285 for SACRPH members, and $355 for non-members) included all of the above sessions, plus two breakfasts, two lunches, and three catered evening receptions. Graduate students were also invited to an additional reception. We also offered single-day registration options and add-on tours.
